About the Organization

The District Disabled School (DDS) Jharsuguda is a non-profit making voluntary organization of the Jharsuguda district. It was established in the years of 1998 and it has been stated from 7th June 1998 at Sarbahal, Jharsuguda. This organization initially started in the Sarbahal, word no 1 of Jharsuguda district and it was shifted on 1st November 2001 to Buromal (Budapada) Po: Sarbahal, Jharsuguda Odisha for permanent settlement. Now it has been continuing its own buildings at Buromal, Jharsuguda

Objective of the Organization

To promote voluntary action for the person with disabilities

To help the poor blind, Deaf Dumb and Mentally Retarded and Orthopedically Handicapped children to encourage education on them freely.

To take necessary steps for improvements of curricular and co-curricular Activities of the Handicapped students.

To help the handicapped in the field of education, health, and socio-economic Condition of the rural and urban people through Dist. Disabled School, Jharsuguda after proper survey by School Management.

To take up programme and project on awareness education training and Rehabilitation programme and projects for children, adults, and women Scheduled Caste and Schedule tribe, leprosy eradication and other special Category person.

To take up programme and projects on environment protection, rural development, social forestry. Health and sanitation Agriculture and Husbandry

To establish & maintained Centre of vocational studies, Training School, College Orphanages, Old age homes, Daycare Centre. Short stay Homes for the benefit of common

To work for the growth of social Justices

To take up programme of welfare and development of the urban and rural sector in collaboration with individual, a Govt., and Non-Govt. Agencies local national and international level

District Disabled School is situated at Budapada (Buromal) Po: Sarbahal District Jharsuguda in the state of Odisha which is about 2.3 K.M. away from Jharsuguda Railway Junction station & 1.5 KM away from Jharsuguda Railway Road Station and about 3.1 K.M. from the Bus station and 1 K.M. from Sarbahal Bus stop.
